Department officials discovered an infested ash tree south of Hicksville, in Paulding County.

Emerald Ash BorerThe announcement was made December 7, 2006 that Paulding County had been added to the list of quarantined counties, making it illegal to move ash trees, parts of ash trees, and all hardwood firewood out of the county. Violators face fines up to $4,000.  Emerald Ash Borers have been found in 26 counties in Ohio.
