The Paulding County Fair officially opened today, June 7, marking the start of Ohio’s 2025 county fair season. Known as the first county fair of the year in the state, it runs through June 14 at the Paulding County Fairgrounds. Check out the official weekly schedule here. 

Established in 1872, the Paulding County Fair has a rich history, celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2022 with a special exhibit at the John Paulding Historical Society. The inaugural fair featured 415 entries across various categories, including livestock, produce, and handmade goods.

This year’s fair continues the tradition with a lineup of events such as harness racing, junior fair competitions, live music, and a grandstand rodeo. Admission and rides are free, making it a family-friendly event for all ages.

As the first of 94 county and independent fairs scheduled across Ohio this year, the Paulding County Fair sets the stage for a summer filled with community celebrations statewide.
