  2. Paulding County Extension Office welcomes new Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) Extension Educator

    With the passage of the Paulding County OSU Extension levy in 2020 and funds being released in 2021, the Paulding County Extension Office had the opportunity to expand the Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) program area. Our newest addition to Paulding County Extension, in the role of Family and Consumer Sciences, Extension Educator is Casey Bishop. The FCS Extension Educator will focus on information and resources in the areas of Health People, Healthy Finances, and Healthy Relationships.

  3. Join the Paulding County Master Gardener Volunteers in their 20th Annual Plant Sale

    Plants, plants, and more plants will be available at the 2021 Paulding County Master Gardener Volunteer plant sale on Friday, May 14th, 2021, from 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM and Saturday, May 15th from 8:00 AM until 12:00 PM. The sale will take place at the Paulding County fairgrounds inside the Block Building at 503 Fairground Drive, Paulding, OH 45879.

  5. 2020 Farm Science Review to be Held Online

    For the first time in its nearly 60-year history, Farm Science Review, scheduled for Sept. 22 to Sept. 24, will not be held in-person. Instead, a virtual show will be implemented for 2020.

    Farm Science Review will come to you on your laptop or smartphone this year, and for free, you can watch live-streamed talks and recorded videos featuring the latest farm equipment and research to pique your curiosity. 

    From Sept. 22–24, people from across the Midwest and the world can learn tips for increasing farm profits and growing crops from soybeans to hemp.

  7. ODA Asks Ohioans to Send in Unsolicited Seeds

    The Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) has been notified that several Ohio residents have received unsolicited packages containing seeds that appear to have originated from China or other Asian countries. The types of seeds in the packages are currently unknown. The packages were sent by mail and may have Chinese writing on them. Unsolicited packages of seeds have been received by people in several other states across the United States over the last several days.

  8. Final Deadline approaching for Paulding County Master Gardener Volunteers College Scholarship

    June 6, 2020:  The Paulding County Master Gardeners provide education and information about horticulture to the citizens of Paulding County.  In 2020, they will be offering their 5th annual college scholarship.  This scholarship is awarded to provide access to educational opportunities for Paulding County residents.  The scholarship was developed from money from their annual plant sale.  The Master Gardeners want anyone pursuing a degree in horticulture to have the opportunity to further their education.

  9. The 2020 Ohio State Fair Has Been Canceled

    On May 21, 2020 the Ohio Expositions Commission announced that it will cancel the 2020 Ohio State Fair, originally scheduled for July 29 – August 9 in Columbus. Members of the Commission expressed concern for public health, as well as the financial feasibility of hosting a socially distant fair that would adhere to social distancing protocols and its impact on the long-term viability of the Ohio State Fair.
