2022 Food Safety Trainings and Certification Brochure

Person In-Charge Certification (Level 1)

The Person In-Charge Certification training is mandatory for the person in charge of an operation during a shift but is not considered a Food Safety Manager. This is also a great way for new employees to learn the basics of food safety. OSU Extension offers in-person classes for food industry workers seeking food safety basics and certification for ODH.

Food Safety Manager (Level 2)

The ServSafe Food Manager course can be taken during scheduled in-person classes or virtually through the TAP program. Participants can take a proctored exam to earn their Food Manager Certification.
